Random thoughts when I first saw ''Vessel'' by Splinter Works, where: is this for real? can it hold a person inside? what is it made of? material has to be light weighted, no? where does the water come out from? Does it come in many colors? Can I have it? All the answers (but the last one) and more photos here.

Can't wait for my summer vacation. I see everything blue, like the Aegean.

M.C. Eschers' woodcuts from the ''Circle Limit'' series, leave me speachless. Shapes expanding from a center point, changing color & size, becoming smaller and smaller, until they form a boundary, a perfect circle, a universe of their own.

''The limit is no longer a point but a line, which borders the whole complex and gives it a logical boundary. If the progressive reduction in size radiates in all directions at an equal rate, then the limit becomes a circle.'' (text from The graphic work of M.C. Escher by Taschen)

M.C. Escher (1898-1972), a worldwide famous Dutch graphic artist, lived and created amazing work, long before computers were used for that matter. You can read about his life & work here. (If you visit Athens-Greece, Herakleidon Museum has a part of its permanent collection dedicated to Escher.)

(κειμενο απο το The graphic work of M.C.

Sometime ago I was hook-searching, bought the muuto hooks set, in natural wood color, and kept them in the box until I made a decision on where to place them. Finally, 2 weeks ago, I had the entrance wall painted light blue-grey, and spread the hooks on it. Here are some photos of the outcome. Hope you like them!

Summer in Greek islands brings white houses with blue doors & windows in mind. Well, the following house has pebbled floors, wooden ceilings and built-in traditional furniture dated back at 1876 when it was originally built. Casa Lindos, located in Lindos- Rhodes, was renovated in 2011 but kept all the traditional features they characterize it. You can see more photos of the house & read about it here.

I often browse patterns on pinterest, I get inspired by the way a simple shape can repeat itself in many directions, sizes & colors to produce an interesting pattern. I'll be sharing more patterns with you in future posts, hoping you get inspired by them as well!
